401 Faculty Professional Responsibility & Standards of Conduct

15.1.0 INTRODUCTION

15.1.1 STANDARD OF CONDUCT- RESPONSIBILITEIES TO STUDENTS 

(1)教师为教学做合理、充分的准备 their courses, appropriate to the educational objectives to be achieved.

(2) Faculty members meet scheduled classes. Schedules are altered or classes canceled 只有在有正当理由的情况下,并在给予学生充分的通知后,才可以 the Department Head, Dean or Vice President for Academic Affairs. Failure to meet 未事先通知学生的课程,只可因下列原因而不予开课 control of the faculty member.

15.1.2 STANDARDS OF CONDUCT – PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS

(2) Faculty members do not misappropriate others’ ideas.

(3)教职员工不得滥用特权或其他保密信息.

(4) Faculty members exercise “reasonable care” (Section 15.1.5) in meeting their obligations 对从事联合教学或其他专业工作的同事 effort.

(5) Faculty members exercise “reasonable care” (Section 15.1.5) in meeting their commitments 在研究,出版, or other professional endeavors.

15.1.3 STANDARDS OF CONDUCT - - RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE INSTITUTION

(2)鼓励教师参加课外专业活动 improve their academic skills.  Time spent on non-institutional activities shall not interfere with a faculty member’s institutional commitments.  Faculty members also 遵守国家有关法律法规、政策法规 conflicts of interest.

(3)教职员工不得利用机构的名称或与他人的关系 该机构出于与其合法学术或专业无关的个人原因 activities.  They avoid creating the impression that they are representing the institution in public appearance or statements, unless in fact they are.

15.1.4 STANDARDS OF CONDUCT-RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITIZENSHIP 

Faculty members share the general legal duties of citizenship.

15.1.5 DEFINITION OF REASONABLE CARE
